(Yicai Global) Dec. 6 -- Shenzhen Fountain Corp. [SHE:000005] plans to take part in a clean water supply project in Tuban, Indonesia, through a public-private partnership.
The Shenzhen-based company and the local government have signed a memorandum of understanding, the Fountain said in a statement yesterday. The firm will first draw up a feasibility report and detailed construction design documents.
Public-private partnerships are often long-term schemes to provide a public asset or service funded and operated through the collaboration of one or more private enterprises with a government. Governments around the world have increasingly turned to such programs in recent decades to encourage private investment in infrastructure.
