Chinese Astronauts Make First Public Appearance Since Returning From Space

Shenzhou-11 astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong met with the media at the Beijing Aerospace City yesterday in their first public appearance since returning from space on Nov.18.

Both astronauts, who will complete their medical quarantine on Dec. 9, said they worked closely with one another to complete the mission and enjoyed their space journey.

Astronauts Jing and Chen were in good health after spending a month in space, the longest stay in space by Chinese astronauts. They completed a manned space mission, a step forward in launching a Chinese space station into orbit.
