(Yicai Global) Dec. 19 -- China's central bank has approved a deal which will see the world's largest ride-hailing provider, Didi Chuxing, obtain a business license for online payment services.

Shiyuan technology, which Didi wholly owns, plans to pay CNY300 million (USD45 million) to Beijing Gaoyang Jiexun Information Technology Co. to take a 100-percent stake in its subsidiary Beijing 19 Payment Technology Co., the seller's controller, Gohigh Data Networks Technology Co. [SHE:000851] said yesterday.

The target firm had run up a net loss of CNY4.79 million as of the end of September this year, the statement said.

Founded in 2010, 19 Pay obtained an online payment services license in June 2012. Gohigh Data became its controlling shareholder after injecting CNY100 million into the company in July 2013.
