African Swine Fever Found at Two Beijing Pig Farms

(Yicai Global) Nov. 23 -- Africa swine fever has been detected at two pig farms in Beijing today. 

Both of the farms are located in Fangshan District. Some 49 pigs died at the first one in Qinglonghu Town, home to 1,325 pigs. The other case in Liulihe Town, home to 429 hogs, resulted in 37 deaths, according to the agricultural ministry

The ministry carried out treatment of all sick and culled the pigs, while also blocking the movement of swine in and out of the affected areas, the ministry added.
