(Yicai Global) Oct. 17 -- The Beijing New Airport plans to finish construction of its rooves and glass walls this year, complete the major parts of the project by December next year, cap the build-out in July 2019 and put the facility into trial operation in October 2019, an airport insider said.
More than 90 percent of the airfield earthworks had been completed last month, and workers poured concrete and lay pipeline for runways and taxiways, the insider said.
After the rooves and walls are erected, workers will install inner equipment.
Beijing’s electromechanical, electronic information and railway engineering projects are all advancing. Air traffic control, oil supply and airline bases are under construction.
