(Yicai Global) Sept. 14 -- China's Medicalsystem Biotechnology will cooperate with California's Thermo Finnigan to develop biomedical testing products while accelerating the popularization of clinical mass spectrometry technologies in China.
The two companies have signed a framework agreement regarding licensing and supplies on Sep.12, Zhejiang province-based Medicalsystem said on Sept. 13. The parties will discuss the details of the cooperation and sign related contracts later.
Under the agreement, Thermo Finnigan and its Germany-based affiliates of Thermo Fisher Scientific Bremen and Dionex Softron will provide products and related licenses to Medicalsystem and its affiliate Medicalsystem Shengde Medical Technology Suzhou so that the latter two may develop their own derivate products for the field that measures a wide range of biomarkers from small molecules.
Medicalsystem and Thermo Finnigan will jointly develop, register, and manufacture medical mass spectrometers and supporting products, while promoting the localization of these products.
