(Yicai Global) April 12 – China’s Naura Technology Group Co. plans to invest USD5 million to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in the US to carry out key technology research and product development in the field of integrated circuit equipment.
Naura’s wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing Naura Microelectronics Equipment Co. will fund the establishment of the US unit, said a statement from the leading high-end integrated circuit technology equipment supplier yesterday.
The proposed US affiliate, Naura Research Inc., will be registered in the state of Delaware on the east coast of the US and operate in Santa Clara County, California, the statement added.
The overseas investments will help improve the company's ability to research and develop technologies and serve customers around the world, it said.
As a major domestic integrated circuit equipment manufacturer in China, Naura Technology’s main products include etching machines, physical vapor deposition, PVD, chemical vapor deposition, oxidation and diffusion furnaces and cleaning machines. The company completed the acquisition of the Allentown-based Akrion Systems LLC, a manufacturer of cleaning equipment, in January, publicly available information shows.
