(Yicai Global) July 10 -- China's consumer price index rose 2.7 percent per year last month in lockstep with May's growth, the country's National Bureau of Statistics reported today.
Food prices added more to this increase than other items, surging 8.3 percent over the same period last year, fresh fruit and pork above all, which were up 42.7 percent and 21.1 percent, respectively, the bureau said.
