(Yicai Global) Aug. 6 -- Esun Display will sell 3D screens to e-commerce giant JD.Com's unit to promote the use of such displays in a range of consumer electronics.
Esun signed a cooperation agreement with Jingdong Shangke Information Technology to provide the latter with multi-dimensional screens, each shipment worth CNY30 million (USD4.4 million), the Shenzhen-based virtual reality equipment maker said in a statement yesterday.
The partnership will promote the application of 3D technologies in e-commerce business as the product components will be used for watches, jewelry, luggage, computers, as well as home appliances. The designs will be based on Jingdong Shangke's needs and sold to it below the estimated market price.
JD.Com and Esun agreed to jointly develop virtual fitting rooms for the e-commerce platform in June.
