(Yicai Global) July 16 -- China's central government revenue grew 3.4 percent in the first half, but government expenditure surged 10.7 percent, the Ministry of Finance said today.
Revenue reached nearly CNY10.8 trillion (USD1.6 trillion) while spending tallied CNY12.35 trillion, according to the ministry's data.
Some CNY9.2 trillion of the income came from tax, a 0.9 percent rise from a year earlier, while non-tax revenue made up CNY1.5 trillion, up 21.4 percent from the year-ago period.
