(Yicai Global) April 20 -- The "6+365" One-Stop Trading Services Platform for the China International Import Expo, CIIE, has opened 200 days before the official start of the major event, which will see a large number companies attending. The platform will offer services all year round.
A company jointly funded by Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co. and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, CCPIT Shanghai, runs the platform, which it designed and set up. “6+365” refers to the Expo lasting six days, with the platform serving all year round.
The “6+365” platform will provide international exhibitors and purchasers in and outside China with one-stop online and offline trading services and information on regular exhibitions and will help with online trading and payment issues. It features 3D virtual showrooms, communication channels for purchasers, information on policies and regulations, and integrated trading services.
The platform will serve as the optimal choice for domestic and foreign purchasers including China’s government agencies, state-owned enterprises, industry associations, business entities, leading manufacturers, cross-border e-commerce importers, as well as exhibition and trade platforms to procure commodities and services all year round.
The platform will also help overseas small- and medium-sized enterprises to enter the Chinese market, offering disintermediation and export cost reduction services, Cao Wei, vice president of Donghao Lansheng Group, told Yicai Global.
As plenty of companies intend to join the platform, the operator will give priority to the expo exhibitors, followed by firms that will not take part in the CIIE, Cao said.
Over 1,600 companies from more than 120 countries and regions have so far registered to participate in the CIIE, including nearly one-fifth of the top 500 enterprises, said officials of the Shanghai municipal government in a press conference. Some industry leaders from different countries will also attend the expo.
“I recently visited some Southeast Asian countries including the Philippines, whose investment and trade agencies and companies responded positively to the idea of attending the expo and asked for help for their companies and products entering the Chinese market,” Yang Jianrong, chairman of CCPIT Shanghai, told Yicai Global.
The CIIE will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai between November 5 and 10.
