(Yicai Global) Dec. 9 -- China has kicked off the country's 10 first iron ore options on the Dalian Commodity Exchange. The options follow the same trading hours as iron ore futures do.

The main contract of iron ore futures climbed 4 percent after starting 2.5 percent higher.
