(Yicai Global) Nov. 30 -- The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China's manufacturing sector came in at 50 this month, down from 50.2 last month, the lowest reading since July 2016, data the country's statistics bureau released today show.

The purchasing managers' index for China's non-manufacturing sector registered 53.4 this month, down from 53.9 last month, the lowest since August last year.

PMI Index is a monthly indicator of economic health for the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors.  A reading above 50 denotes expansion, and one below signals contraction.
