(Yicai Global) Nov. 28 -- NetEase [NASDAQ:NTES], the mobile game publisher earned the highest revenue in the world in October, beating competitors Tencent [HK:0700] and Supercell.
This achievement was mainly attributed to the company's two newly-launched mobile games, Yin Yang Master and Fantasy Westward Journey. The vast majority of NetEase's mobile game revenue comes from the Chinese market, data analysis platform App Annie said.
Among the world's top 10 games with the highest revenue, Chinese games held four places. In the global revenue chart for both iOS and Android, NetEase claimed 6th and 8th place with Yin Yang Master and Fantasy Westward Journey respectively.
Among the top 10 Chinese games, NetEase held four places, with Onmyoiji at number one, Fantasy Westward Journey at number two, Ghost at number four and Westward Journey online in eighth place.
