(Yicai Global) Aug. 5 -- The Purchasing Managers' Index of China's general services sector dropped 0.4 of a percentage point to 51.6 last month, its lowest reading in the last five months, per figures private media Caixin released today.
The formerly-issued PMI of China's manufacturing sector was up 0.5 of a percentage point to 49.9 for the month.Taken together, they thus peg the Caixin China Composite Output Index at 50.9, some 0.3 of a percentage point higher than it registered in June.
A reading above the magic 50-mark shows expansion. One below indicates contraction.
