(Yicai Global) Feb. 6 -- Chinese stock markets opened mixed as some investors reaped profits after two days of gains, but offshore funds flowed in to fill the void and buoy mainland markets to a higher close.

The Shanghai Composite Index finished at 2866.51, up 1.72 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index wound up 2.87 percent higher at 10,601.34.The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, soared 3.74 percent to 2,012.25 after opening 0.24 percent down. 

The Hong Kong Stock Connect program infused CNY13.5 billion today in funds.
