China's Stock Markets Opened Down

(Yicai Global) May 29 - China's stock markets opened lower this morning, following declines in Japan and Hong Kong.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.5 percent lower at 2,894.83 points. The Shenzhen Composite Index started off at 8,971.22 points, down 0.7 percent. The ChiNext, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, opened 0.8 percent lower at 1,492.58 points.
