(Yicai Global) June 11 -- Chinese home appliance-maker Tonze Electric will build an experience hall equipped with virtual reality products and the Internet of Things technologies in southern China's Guangdong province.
Tonze will invest up to CNY50 million (USD7.81 million) in the retail center located in the city of Shantou, the Guangdong-based electric equipment-maker said in a statement.
The project is in line with the current trend of experience-based consumption and can generate huge economic benefits, motivate innovation, and help cement the company's influence in the region while improving its brand value, the announcement added.
Founded in 1996, Tonze designs and manufactures household appliances such as rice cookers and electric kettles, as well as commercial medical instruments.
