China Tosses T-Notes for Four Straight Months

(Yicai Global) Dec. 17 -- China reduced its holdings of US Treasury notes by USD800 million in October to USD1.101 trillion for the fourth month in a row that it has reduced its holdings of US debt, data released by the US Treasury Department yesterday show.

Japan raised its stockpile by USD22.2 billion in October in the largest increase among major creditor countries in the United States, and its holdings increased to USD1.168 trillion to make it the biggest overseas holder of US debt for the fifth consecutive month, The Paper reported today.
