(Yicai Global) June 3 -- Shanghai's main stock index rose while Shenzhen benchmarks slid today. Companies based in southern China's Hainan province fell as much as 2.8 percent while chicken breeders led the group of gainers.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,923.37, up 0.07 percent. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.04 percent to 11,108.3. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, dropped 0.10 percent to 2,143.12.
