Chinese Stocks Keep Up Their Momentum Throughout the Week

(Yicai Global) Sept. 6 -- China's mainland stock markets were in flux all day, and Shenzhen's two key indexes closed higher than yesterday to continue their rising trend for the whole week but were lower than at today's opening.

The Shanghai Composite Index ended up 0.46 percent at 2,999.60 on a CNY258.3 billion trading volume. The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 0.41 percent to close at 9,823.42 on turnover of CNY375.7 billion. The ChiNext index closed lower than at opening but was still 0.19 percent higher than yesterday at 1,692.24, with CNY129 billion changing hands.

The Shanghai Composite Index has soared 3.9 percent this week, while the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext index nosed up 0.41 percent and 0.19 percent, respectively.
