(Yicai Global) Aug. 28 -- The Intelligence Valley of China, a tech park in southwestern Chongqing, and the district it is located in have teamed up to house a large number of Big Data projects worth CNY60.8 billion (USD8.5 billion) in the district.

The management committees of the Intelligence Valley of China and Nan'an district held a signing ceremony regarding the 37 projects that are mostly related to services regarding smart manufacturing, energy, health, and smart cities, Chongqing Daily reported today.

The largest of the projects is the CNY15-billion Yangtze River Dream Center which will focus on creating exhibitions regarding science and technology, as well as digital arts. It is expected to contribute CNY1.5 billion to the output of Chongqing's cultural industries each year.

Another big project is a smart cities one that secured CNY10 billion from investors, including Tongxing Wencheng Beijing Investment Management, in order to use Big Data for smart manufacturing and Internet of Things applications.

Guangdong's Longsee Medical Technology will invest CNY500 million to build a research institute in Nan'an. JD.Com inked agreements to construct a regional headquarters of its medical unit, as well as a smart healthcare project in the same area.
