(Yicai Global) July 19 -- Southwest China's megacity of Chongqing and its firms signed over 10 cooperation agreements with Russian counterparts at the fifth China-Russia Expo.

Two governmental projects and 11 corporate ones with a total worth of CNY1.84 billion (USD197 million) were signed at the trade forum between the two regions, Chongqing municipal government's website released. The projects involved the fields such as logistics, agriculture, food, finance, vehicles, natural gas, new energy, medical equipment, clothing, and timber processing.

Automaker Lifan Industry signed a USD100 million deal with a Russian car sales firm ABC-Motors to sell up to 10,000 vehicles in the Eurasian country. Chongqing also inked a cooperation agreement with the central Russian region of Sverdlovsk Oblast in a bid to push forward partnership in investment, trade, and connectivity, as well as exchanges of personnel in pilot free trade zones.

The China-Russia Expo was held at the city of Yekaterinburg in Sverdlovsk Oblast on July 9-12.
