(Yicai Global) Feb. 21 -- Most Chinese supermarkets have kept their doors open during the Covid-19 epidemic, with the average rate of ongoing operation among large chain supermarkets being above 95 percent, 10 percentage points higher than on Feb.10, an official with the country's Ministry of Commerce said at a press briefing today, adding figures for shopping malls and department stores tell a much different story, with only half of these having continued business amid customer flows down to one-10th of normal.
