(Yicai Global) Jan. 4 -- Didi Chuxing, the largest Internet-based ride-hailing service provider in China, is to officially release its overseas vehicle rental service. Chinese tourists can use the service via the international version of Didi Car Rental, an option inside the existing Didi app, Tech.qq.com reported.
The overseas car rental service will be carried out by cooperating with existing enterprises and Didi Chuxing has no fleet of its own. The service will be expressly for booking rental cars, rather than chauffeur-driven cars or the usual taxis.
The vehicles offered by US car rental company Avis available in the international version of Didi's app cover over 1, 500 cities in more than 100 countries worldwide, including the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most of mainland Europe.
