Dying of Brain Cancer, Lee Ao Reconciles With China’s Taiwan Kuomintang Heads

(Yicai Global) Aug. 14 -- Lee Ao, a famous Chinese-Taiwanese writer, social commentator, historian, and independent politician long at loggerheads with Taiwan’s Kuomintang authorities over the issue of reunification, which he deems inevitable, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and prognosticated as having three years to live. His former adversaries, Kuomintang Chairman Wu Dunyi and the head of Taiwan’s regional assembly Wang Jin-pyng came to pay homage to him today in his home.
