(Yicai Global) Feb. 10 -- Mobike Technology Co. has established itself as a pacesetter by hogging more than 70 percent of China's bicycle-sharing market. The company's monthly active users (MAUs) were more than three times those of runner-up Ofo Bicycle Co. by the end of last year.
Mobike had a 72.5 percent market share compared to Ofo's 21.8 percent, according to big data monitoring platform Trustdata. Mobike users made 107,900 payments a day, while Ofo's made 23,100.
China's bicycle-sharing market has about 4,322,000 MAUs, China News Service reported citing Trustdata. The country has at least 20 bicycle-sharing firms providing over 300,000 bikes to users, mostly in first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. 11 startups including Mobike, Ofo, Xiaoming Bike and Bluegogo have disclosed fundraising information.
