(Yicai Global) Aug. 11 -- Guangdong-based Chinese game developer Shenzhen Shengxunda Technology Co. [SHE:300518] plans to spend CNY10 million (USD1,499,700) to set up an e-commerce platform dedicated to the distribution of game products in a bid to expand its businesses.
With the rise of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, consumers are paying growing attention to their experience with and participation in games, traditional games are set to upgrade, and market demand for game-related hardware will be huge, Shengxunda said in a statement yesterday. Shengxunda plans to establish a subsidiary to engage in the online distribution of game hardware and mobile terminal products as well as a relevant supply chain business.
Founded in 2006, Shengxunda started to focus on the research, development and operation of mobile and web games in 2010. It develops several mobile games a year.
