Thvow Tech Buys Into Thai Solar Firm to Ensure Supply for Southeast Asia Projects

(Yicai Global) Feb. 22 -- High-end equipment maker Suzhou Thvow Technology Co. will use a subsidiary to invest USD4.2 million in a Chinese-funded solar module producer in Thailand as it looks to source components for projects in Southeast Asia.

Thvow's China Sinogy Electric Engineering Co. penned a deal with the Beijing-based parent of Tiger Solar Co., the buyer's parent said in a statement. CSEEC's investment will earn it a 50-percent stake of the recently established firm.

Producing solar products in Southeast Asia will provide a stable, high-quality component supply for local new-energy construction projects, the statement said, adding that it will also create job opportunities and promote economic growth.
