Turkey Imposes Anti-Dumping Tariffs on Solar Panel Imports From China

(Yicai Global) April 6 -- Turkey's ministry of economy has made a final ruling on the anti-dumping case against Chinese-made photovoltaic (PV) modules (solar panels), claiming that Chinese companies have been dumping their products into the Turkish market, which it said has caused damage to its domestic industry, China's ministry of commerce announced.

The Turkish government has, therefore, decided to impose anti-dumping tariffs on Chinese solar panel (PV module) products for a period of five years. Tax rates are USD20 per square meter solar panels for the 16 Chinese firms involved in the case and USD25 per square meter for all other Chinese exporters of the panels, it announced.
