(Yicai Global) Jan. 22 -- Central China's Wuhan will offer free treatment to those who are suspected to have caught the quickly spreading coronavirus or diagnosed with the new type of respiratory illness that has caused six deaths so far in the city. 

Wuhan has arranged 800 beds in three hospitals to treat patients and 1,200 more beds will be freed up soon, Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday, citing local health authorities. 

So far the city has reported 258 cases of the new type of virus, 25 of which have been "cured" and discharged. 

Other hospitals in the region, such as Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital, have sent 150 medical workers to the three designated institutions to take care of the patients around the clock, Peng Houpeng, deputy director of the city's health commission, told Xinhua.
