Yuan Jumps 0.3% Against Dollar in Early Trade

(Yicai Global) Oct. 8 -- The yuan rebounded strongly against the dollar early this morning after a week-long hiatus for the National Day holiday.

The onshore redback had gained 0.32 percent on the dollar to 7.1244 as of 10.22 a.m. Beijing time. The international yuan was trading at 7.1226 at the same time.

China's Vice Premier Liu He is set to lead a delegation to Washington from Oct. 10 to Oct. 11 to hold high-level economic and trade negotiations at the invitation of the United States, according to Xinhua.
