When China began reforms, it looked to other economies as possibly models, while now the opposite is true, as other countries send technicians, economists, and engineers to see what they might be able to apply to their own economies, Thomas Gold, professor at the University of California, Berkeley's sociology department, said at the #WorldConferenceonChinaStudies today.
