China Eastern Airlines handled 8.36 million international transit passengers at Pudong Int’l Airport last year, accounting for 81% of the airport’s total, Deputy GM Wan Qingchao said at the #NorthBundForum yesterday. In the first half of this year, the figure surged 27% to 4.8 million from a year earlier, making the airline a key driver of the airport’s growing international transit traffic, Wan noted.
