China Unicom's net profit jumped 5.2% to CNY8.78 billion (USD1.23 billion) in the nine months ended Sept. 31 from a year earlier, the mobile carrier's earnings report showed today. Revenue rose 1 percent to CNY292.99 billion (USD41.11 billion). Third-quarter profit gained 5.4% to CNY2.42 billion on revenue of CNY92.78 billion, almost unchanged year on year.
