Gree Electric Appliances said yesterday it has no plans to raise air conditioner prices or replace copper with aluminum. Chairwoman Dong Mingzhu noted last month that while Gree has researched aluminum for years, the metal has yet to match copper’s reliability and will only be adopted once it can fully replace copper.
