Xunlei and the Chinese tech firm's unit One Thing Tech launched a CNY200 million (USD28.7 million) lawsuit against former CEO Chen Lei and his core team for alleged corporate misconduct, with the Shenzhen court taking the case, people familiar with the matter told Yicai. The civil case follows a prior criminal investigation into Chen for suspected misappropriation of company assets, which was dropped in late 2022, as Chen had stayed overseas since 2020, leading to insufficient evidence.
