Jia Guolong, founder of Xibei, confirmed the Chinese restaurant chain will shut 102 stores nationwide at once, about 30% of its total, after such reports circulated online following an internal meeting, China Newsweek reported today. Xibei previously faced controversy after influencer Luo Yonghao criticized it for selling high-priced pre-made meals.
