Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen returned to the WTA Tour with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over Sofia Kenin at the Qatar Open yesterday. In her first full match since last September due to an elbow surgery, Zheng hit a career-high 20 aces and 43 winners to reach the second round.
