China yesterday launched the international mega science project PLANeT, co-led by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and 49 top institutions from 15 countries and regions. Using AI to decode plant genetics and map the land plant lineage, the project aims to tackle global challenges in food security, biodiversity, and new drug discovery.
