Alibaba Cloud’s CTO Zhou Jingren will continue to lead Tongyi Lab, and Alibaba will set up a foundation model support group co-led by Wu, Zhou, and Ele.me’s CEO Fan Yu to adhere to open-source model strategy while increasing investment in AI R&D and stepping up efforts to attract top talent, Wu added.
