Tencent had 115,849 employees at the end of 2025, up from 110,558 a year earlier. Its total compensation costs rose 16% to CNY130.7 billion (USD18.9 billion) last year from 2024, implying an average annual salary cost of about CNY1.1 million (USD164,000) per employee.
