SMIC's share [HKG: 0981] opened 2% down despite the Shanghai-based chipmaker reporting its net profit jumped 36% to CNY5 billion (USD729 million) last year from 2024, while its revenue rose 17% to CNY67.3 billion (USD9.7 billion).
