CATL said its controlling shareholder Xiamen Ruiting will donate 5 million shares to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the alma mater of founder Zeng Yuqun. The funds, valued at over CNY2 billion (USD290 million) based on the latest share price, set a new donation record and will support university education development via Zeng's Education Development Fund.
