Shanghai’s sales value of departure tax refunds jumped 81% last year from 2024, ranking first nationwide for ten straight years, local tax authorities told CCTV yesterday. Reduction, exemption, and refund of taxes and fees for technological innovation and the development of the manufacturing industry topped CNY187.4 billion (USD27 billion) last year.
