The China-Laos Railway’s cross-border cargo trade value rose 63% to CNY6.8 billion (USD992 million) in the first quarter of the year from a year earlier, according to customs authorities in Kunming, China’s southwestern Yunnan province. The railroad’s total foreign trade value had exceeded CNY80 billion as of April 7 since its launch in December 2021.
