Beijing transport authorities have summoned Hellobike over the deployment of too many unregistered shared bicycles and its failure to correct the problem. The Shanghai-based provider of shared bikes, e-bikes, and car-pooling services faces possible administrative penalties and a reduction in operating scale, and must remove all illegal bikes by April 17 or face further action.
