China’s market regulator has fined seven major e-commerce platforms a combined total of nearly CNY3.6 billion (USD527 million) for violations involving food delivery “ghost kitchens,” and has ordered them to rectify unlawful practices. Legal representatives and food safety directors at the platforms were also fined a total of CNY19.7 million (USD2.9 million).
