Tesla continued ramping up investments in AI compute and new battery infrastructure in the first quarter to accelerate the roll-out of Cybercab, Semi, and next-gen Megapack systems, it said in a Weibo post. The US EV maker will start preparing its first plant for mass-produced humanoid robots in the second quarter, targeting an annual capacity of one million units, to replace the legacy Model S and Model X lines in Fremont.
