After reports that Chery Auto has allied with Japanese car retailer Autobacs Seven to sell Chinese-made EVs in Japan through a new JV and EV brand under EMT, the carmaker told Yicai today that it is only one of several shareholders in the EMT project and does not participate in its operations or management.
